Draw a monster. Watch it come alive.

Grab a crayon and draw any creature you like on the paper. Then press Bring it to life! and see what happens.

This is the big finish at every Doodlebug party: the children's own drawings walk, wobble and dance on the big screen.

On the day

How a party goes

  1. We arrive early

Screen, speakers and the drawing table are set up half an hour before anyone rings the doorbell.

  2. Games and giggles

Musical statues, parachute games and silly songs, pitched just right for the age group.

  3. Everyone draws a monster

Crayons and paper for every child. No wrong answers: blobs, scribbles and seven-eyed things all welcome.

  4. The big reveal

We scan the drawings and they come alive on the big screen. The birthday child's monster always goes first.

  5. A picture to take home

Every monster is emailed to the parents afterwards as a card, with its name on.

Good to know

Questions parents ask

How much space do you need?

About the size of a living room cleared of furniture, or any church or village hall. We bring the screen and speakers.

Is it OK for shy children?

Yes. Nobody has to perform, and drawing a monster is a lovely quiet way to join in. Shy ones often end up with the funniest monster.

Which areas do you cover?

Macclesfield, Bollington, Prestbury, Poynton, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Congleton. Further afield on request.

Can we keep the drawings?

The paper drawings go home on the day, and every child's living monster is emailed to the parents afterwards.
